There's no place like home, from arguments over something silly to great laughs and lasting memories from the same trip. · Kids these days can get a little antsy, so visiting just one museum per day may be a good idea in the event you can't fit in another activity. If it rains on the day you plan to go to the water park, for example, switch that activity to a movie or some other indoor sort of thing.

· Also, give yourself some time to relax on the weekends. Days off don't have to be full of activities and deep sleep: one easy way is by staying up late or checking out that hotel down the block. Again, if you have never tried cruising, it is an excellent time for the family.

3.    Try to be as prepared as possible for a family vacation. It's hard to get into the nitty-gritty of what might happen in life with our kids, but if they know, they are at least better prepared.
